Introducing the New Zodiac counterbalance binocular mount by ScopeTeknix.
Designed for binocular astronomy,
this new design binocular mount (designed and made in the UK) offers astronomers a comfortable and convenient way to observe the night sky with binoculars - and at a super low price of just £79.99 inc mainland UK p&p.
Please note, the binocular, tripod and green laser system shown are not included in the price (see recommendations for accessories).
The new Zodiac ST90 completely eliminates all the image shake and discomfort associated with looking up into the sky with hand-held binoculars.
Steady views and more
The simple counterbalance system, will allow binoculars of almost any weight to be used. six weights are included with the Zodiac and more are available (at extra cost) if required.
Works with nearly all binos
The Zodiac relies heavily on a good quality tripod (not included) to provide the means of rotating and tilting the mount. The tripod should be full height and we recommend a crank handle controlled rising centre column. If you don't already have a suitably robust tripod we recommend as a minimum the OVL 8115 - see recommendations below left.
The Zodiac is a universal binocular mount and can be used with virtually every binocular fitted with a tripod mounting point. A standard steel L bracket is included in the price.
Construction
The Zodiac is of all metal construction (steel) and has no moving parts. It has a built-in tripod mounting base plate threaded for standard tripod fitting.
Size: 800mm x 180mm
Although the ScopeTeknix Zodiac is a new product, it is manufactured in the UK by a well known astro accessory manufacturer who has a long experience in making binocular mountings (but at a much higher price!).
FAQ: The binocular shown fitted to the Zodiac is the Praktica 8x56 weighing 1160g (and of course is not included in the price of the Zodiac) and just 5 of the 6 weights included are required to counterbalance a binocular of this size and weight.
A superbly simple way to observe the stars with all binoculars.
